Project Overview

1. Reading and Interpreting Blueprints:

   • Study and understand technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications for various components and machinery.

2. Precision Measuring:

   • Use precision measuring tools, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accurate dimensions during the manufacturing process.

3. Cutting and Shaping Materials:

   • Operate cutting and shaping tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to shape and form metal or other materials.

4. Welding and Fabrication:

   • Perform welding tasks for joining metal components.
   • Engage in fabrication work to create structures or components.

5. Assembly and Installation:

   • Assemble and fit together machined parts to construct machines or equipment.
   • Install and align machinery components according to specifications.

6. Maintenance and Repair:

   • Conduct routine maintenance on machinery to ensure proper functioning.
   • Identify and repair faults or malfunctions in mechanical systems.

7. Quality Control:

   • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
   • Make adjustments or corrections as necessary.

8. Tool Maintenance:

   • Maintain and keep tools and equipment in good working condition.
   • Perform regular inspections and, if needed, initiate repairs or replacements.

9. Team Collaboration:

   • Work collaboratively with other fitters, machinists, and engineers on projects.
